This slimming world spaghetti bolognese is so quick and easy to make and the best thing about it, is it’s syn free! it also freezes well, so if you have some free time on your hands why not bulk cook it and freeze in individual portions for those days when you don’t feel like cooking, lets be honest we all have days like that. Its so easy to grab something naughty out of the cupboard when you don’t have the energy to cook, one slip and it all goes down hill from there.

Serving suggestion

Serve with a jacket potato, a side salad and a sprinkling of cheese.

If you don’t want to serve with pasta you can spiralize some veggies (carrot or courgette) and serve with that.

If you don’t have extra lean beef mince you could use extra lean turkey, or extra lean pork mince.


Spray a large non-stick frying pan with low calorie cooking spray and place over a high heat

Add the mince and stir-fry for 2 minutes or until browned

Add the onion, carrot, mushrooms and garlic and fry for 1 minute

Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper, tomato puree, passata and dried herbs

Bring to the boil while stirring

Turn down the heat and simmer for around 45 minutes (stirring occasionally)

serve with your favourite gluten free pasta
